Windmill Slightly Blurry: For this I needed a slower shutter speed so that the windmill would be blurred, but not so slow as to blur the girl too. The aperture had to be medium sized so that it didn't let too much light in, but since the shutter speed wasn't too slow it wasn't super small.
Freeze All Movement: By using a fast shutter speed I was able to freeze movement of both the girl and the windmill, as well as keeping the image properly exposed by lowering the aperture.
Blur Background: I used a wide aperture to create a small depth of field so the girl and windmill close to the camera are in focus, while the background is blurred. This required a faster shutter speed, as the wide aperture let in a lot of light so needed to be compensated.
Keep Everything In Focus: By having a small aperture (wide depth of field) and a medium shutter speed the image was entirely in focus. By zooming out of the subject it allowed for the photo to appear more 'in focus', such as images of landscapes.
